About one hundred participants representing several local companies and associations took part in the first meeting organized last Friday, December 8 by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Public Portfolio. Four themes related to quality and innovation were developed by experienced men and women. All presenters called on public and private companies to put quality at the heart of their management, in order to make their products competitive in the market and develop a relationship of trust with consumers.
Complementing each other, Patrick Portella, Jean-Jacques Rachel Fouemina, Mabondzo and Inès Féviliyé agreed on the dynamics of progression embodied by the quality approach which aims highly at consumer satisfaction, but also at employee efficiency in relation with the objectives of the company, in order to build their capacity while developing a transversality between services and creating an internal client/supplier reflex through the process approach. All these actions have to contribute to the main expected result i.e. improving the performance of the customer service structure. The durability and competitiveness of their activities are at this price, because in this increasingly competitive world, the customer has become very demanding. Conscious of the power granted to clients, Jean-Raymond Dirat, Chief of Staff to the Minister of the Economy, Industry and Public Portfolio said in his opening speech that "In this context of globalization, the production of goods is not an end in itself. On the contrary, in our modern economies, a business in order to survive must offer competitive products. In other words, industrial companies must voluntarily adopt a quality approach".
This meeting incorporates the programme of the World Quality Day celebrated this year under the theme "Quality and Innovation: How to Transform the Culture of Your Business".
